Keoke and the Manti Pageant

Thursday, June 25, 2009

This past Saturday Josh and I had quite a big day. First of all, we headed to the SL County Animal Services to look for a cat. The adult cats are free this month... but we gave into our weakness and got a kitten instead. We named him Keoke (K-oh-kee) which is Hawaiian for "quick runner" HAHA. He is about 3 months old and is a grey and white tabby with a little bit of tan in his coat. He is such a fun addition to our family and we love him to peices. He loves chasing strings, playing with his jingle bell balls, attacking your feet from his hiding place under the bed, and napping in daddy's lap.

Also on Saturday, Josh, Tracy and I trekked down to Manti for the annual Morman Miracle Pageant. I had never seen the pageant, so I was super excited. By the time we got there is was pouring rain and everything was soaked. We stoppd in Ephraim and the Walmart. We needed a leash for Keoke and Tracy decided to get a tarp to put down in case the ground was wet. We also got some cat toys and such. thanks heavens we decided to stop. The cat toys kept Keoke entertained while we waited out the rain in the car, once the rain did stop and we found a good spot on the grass, the tarp was perfect to keep us dry, and Keoke wanted to run and play, so we were so glad we had that leash. YAY. It was a pretty good day. It got a bit cold and I had to keep moving around to stay warm, but it was great. Everyone had such a great time.

Oh, and happy fathers day again to Josh, my daddy, daddy Curtiss, all the grandpas in my life and everyone else enjoying the wonders of fatherhood. You are truely appreciated, more than you may know. :)
